2 December, 2019 - 15:58

Last week, on 27–28 November 2019, Kaliningrad hosted a workshop of the project BEST – Better Efficiency for Industrial Sewage Treatment. It was the fifth workshop in the project series, focusing on innovative and cost-efficient methods for pre-treatment of industrial effluents, and it attracted over 80 participants.

As a part of the workshop, BSR WATER platform held a session to introduce the synergies and potential for cooperation between BEST project and BSR WATER platform to the project partners and stakeholders. The platform introduced two expert presentations, from Belarus and Germany, to offer a wider range of examples from the Baltic Sea Region highlighting wastewater treatment technologies as well as possibilities of cooperating with industries.

BSR WATER also organized an interactive group work to test the online platform Baltic Smart Water Hub. The Hub has been launched earlier, and it is currently being further developed in BSR WATER with the input from partners of cooperating projects and approached through different target groups to ensure the usability of the online platform for the water sector’s needs. During the group work, participants could browse the Hub and test different resources it offers. Participants provided valuable feedback on practical improvements that will be now taken into account and implemented in the platform.
