International Environmental Forum Baltic Sea Day 2020
The XXI International Environmental Forum "Baltic Sea Day" has been postponed to fall 2020 due to the coronavirus situation in Europe.
New dates are tentative, 16-18 September 2020, and will be confirmed closer to the autumn.
Baltic Sea Day Forum is organized to discuss environmental challenges to the state of the sea: nutrients, micropollutants, hazardous substances in water, MSP, river basin management, addressing climate change and the need for sustainable management of water basins and other topical issues in the Baltic Sea Region.
BSD Forum attracts participants from all sectors in the Baltic Sea Region and beyond, supporting a continuous and fruitful cooperation for the healthy Baltic Sea and contributing towards the goals for the conservation and protection of its environment. As in the past years, the Forum will be held in parallel with the Ecology of the Big City exhibition.

Evaluating implementation of the BSAP 2007–2021
BSR WATER platform will be present at the Forum for networking, but also its activities and findings will be presented at several sessions during BSD. The seminar no.2 Hazardous Substances – updating HELCOM framework will highlight the platform's input into the development of recommendations on managing hazardous substances in wastewater. Further, the seminar no. 5 Increasing resilience of the Baltic Sea to climate change will include examples of the platform's work on sustainable stormwater management. More highlights of BSR WATER focus on cooperation between stakeholders for the smarter water sector will be raised at the roundtable with water and climate experts (by invitation) organized by UBC Sustainable Cities Commission.
